Why is it important to review a translation?
During the translation process, the translator needs to do several things at the same time: reading and analysis of the original text, documentation and resolution of doubts, terminology research, translation and self-review. It is important not to skip any step of the editing and proofreading process since the possibility of overlooking a human error is high. You know four eyes see more than two. So once the translation is finished, someone else should check that it meets all the quality standards.
How does the editing service work?
The editing process compares the original text in English or French with the translated text in Spanish or Galician. The editor should look for inaccuracies, redundancies or errors that might be in the translated document. In many cases, there may be little meaning issues or style issues, but these details make the content gain quality and fluency.
When reviewing a translation from English or French, errors like lost nuances, repetitions of words or unnatural syntax may be spotted in the target language. Not being noticed means the reader thinks the text has been directly written in the target language.
